Hello all,

I am seriously thinking of ordering a set of the VF4 mirrors from Vision Hot Rod Concepts. Before I do I was wondering if there was anyone from this site that has them on their car, and what you thought of them?

How hard were they to mount? How well can you see out of them? Is the mirror glass adjustable?

Thanks for any and all info!!

Glenn

I have the Vision VF4's on mine....love em

Very easy to install. Just make sure you have someone sitting in the driving position while you shorten the stems, make sure they move the glass around many times to ensure you get the right angle and vision from the mirror. We didn't do that on one side and as a result needed to re-do it and repaint it later. But otherwise they rock, had many many comments on mine.

Thanks for the info! How exactly do they mount? How much shortening and shaping did you have to do? My car is different, but curious on the process involved.
Many thanks!

They mount like most mirrors, have a base that screws to the door (we played around and changed it a bit based on the style of my build). We didn't shape the base too much, but it's easy to do, the mirrors are like a hard PVC so can be cut, filed and sanded very easily. It's more getting the right angle on the stem rather than shortening per se (if that makes sense)

looks like a lot of money and effort for something that will never look right on anything built before the mid 90's.

You could try the 92-99 lesabre mirrors ,or 3rd gen camaro's although I really like the vitaloni California mirrors

Amir - you have the VF2s which are alot smaller than the VF4s. I swapped to the VF4s and in mock up mode (car not yet on the road) they seem to work well. The instructions give fair warning about where to cut if you want to see out of them.
