I NEED HELP! I have a 64 Nova that is in Southern CA that I need painted. It is completely stripped of all components/glass/interior/etc. (raw body on dollies), and basically sanded almost down to metal. No panel replacement needed or rust to contend with (very solid/straight car). It will need minor body work/primer/lots of blocking!/paint. I do not have much of a budget but hope that since car comes completely stripped of parts and basically ready to get started....it will be worth somthing? I need to keep around $3000 total as I already deposited $2000 with a guy who took the money and now has let me know he cannot start or finish the job as he has personal issues, nor can he give me my money back because he has spent it! PLEASE HELP If you can take on this project and are in my immediate surrounding area (San Diego County/Riverside County/Orange County/etc.) Please call 951-634-5554 Thanks. :nopity:

Wow, That is a very tall order. I just finished a 32 Ford roadster for a friend. He spent $2000 just on materials. Yes I know some of it could have been done with lesser cost/quality products. But it still would have been half your budget!

Good luck....

Wow,

The first thing I would do is get my money back from the guy who ripped you off, a small claim will settle that in no time, hopefully you had some kind of paperwork or a agreement done so to protect yourself from above story? And $2000.00 lost is not peanuts you need to get that back anyway you can, if the guy spent it and "whoops sorry dude is his answer" he needs a good butt kicking for just being a jerk ,personal reasons are not a excuse when you take somebody's hard earned cash and flake,it would be a different story if the guy said he would at least try and pay you back if it was $50.00 a month,he could be a man about it and not just blow away,he had no problems taking your money knowing he was supposed to commit..wow.. Hope you get it all worked out soon!

Good Luck..

I hate hearing that people get ripped off and don't want to do anything about it, $3000.00 will go pretty quick, you would be ahead of the game with that 2 grand back!
