Has anyone done the Guldstrand mod to an a body ? Would it work on an a body ?
If you use taller upper and lower ball joints can you still run 15" wheels ?

there is generally no room to move the upper upper control arm down so it is not possible.
i would doubt you would have room for tall upper and lower BJ with 15" wheels

Never seen tall lowers....I ran tall spindles inside numerous different 15" wheels for quite a while and never had a problem.

The only way to do the guldstrand mod on an a body is to cut the mounts off ,shorten them and weld them back on in the new position. Give Marcus at SC&C a call he can help you get what you want with your 15" wheels.

Don't want to hijack, but what are the advantages of tall or not in the upper and lower positions? (may be doing A-arms/front suspension components in the next few months, trying to learn a lot...)

There really isn't any room to move the mounts down, at least not enough to make a difference. But the SC&C stage 2 kit will get you there easier. Definitely call Marcus.

Tall upper ball joints make the suspension act like it has a taller spindle which fixes the backwards camber curve on an a-body. In a turn with stock suspension the top of the tire leans out the tall upper makes it lean in. The tall lower, lowers the ride height by raising the spindle (making the pin further from the ground) which also raises the steering arm and outer tie rod aligning it with the center link and inner tie rod reducing bump steer, it also adds to the spindle height making the suspension think the spindle is even taller. The SC&C stage 2+ kit is very close to the ATS tall spindle in performance. It is probably about as good as your going to get with stock mounting points and stock spindles.

Brad, do you mean tall upper ball joints instead of mounts? Ball joints do help with the camber curve, don't see how taller upper control arm mounts would help.
