My car has been "finished" for about 3 years now and I enjoy it a lot. (did have to rebuild the motor last year though:crying: )

I have a vintage air installed but never finished it, heating/ventilation works but I never installed the drier and radiator. When you start driving these things are not important anymore it seems

When watching the 48hourcamaro build I thought: I need to finish mine.....!

So I started today and got a lot done, I think I can finish it next week and get the AC filled and working. Now that I am at it I will also install a cooler in the power steering/brake line I allready bought long time ago.

stupid thing is it is not a big job at all...just need to do it!

Do you recognize this???

Hi Martin, so A/C isn't as important as going for a drive.

I have several things that just seem to a lot less important than Driving !

Tearing into the car to do something that may leave it undrivable for even a bit longer than 3 days loses to the grab of the keys and turning an ignition instead of a wrench. Heck I don't even like to think about working on it VS driving.

The car show crowd really likes the Cormaro but it just doesn't give me any kind of drive to show the car vs driving it. I even found myself accepting the small things not being done when I would look at what others call a show car or a car worth showing and see people ooh and ahhh over them ?

On the good side of it all, taking a long time to do an install can make it the only time you do it if you have done all of your engineering in your head and have finally come down to the best way to do it.

I am making some progress on the things noone sees, and then for some unknown miracle my turn signal can now activate my horn, lol? I know it is the wire grounding somewhere but it is funny when you hit the turn signal just right and it honks.

It's always something needing attention so I try to do several things and make use of the down time just like at work.

My remote resevior is keeping my p/s system more than cool enough it seems without a cooler. I like the less plumbing it took and it it is easier to work on the engine.

I will be thinking of you when I am sweating my butt off in August and 98 degrees out. Maybe someday it will happen, there is plenty of room to put it in the back.

Talk to you later , Jim
