Hey guys, I have an appointment this coming up Friday (27Th) with the dyno shop next door to the Carb Shop in Ontario, CA. Wondering if anyone has used them and had any feedback.

I'm taking my LS 408 with AFR heads and an intercooled F-2 blow through to them to break it in and get some starting points on tunning. At first we will use one of their carbs to get it running with out the belt to get some base line numbers and tune. Then we'll swap out to my converted carb and hook up the belt to see how it does.

Any guess what it will make?

I'm running a Vic Jr with a 950 that the carb shop next door has right now. They are converting it over for blow through. Going to start out with 10-12 lbs at first to see how that goes.

My blower had a few parts that held up the delivery but it's finally on its way. Should be here on Wed. I will take some pictures then. Talk about close. That will give me Wed night and some of Thurs after work to get it installed for Friday. Shouldn't take to long to mount it to the engine.

I'm going to bring the intercooler also for the dyno. They said that they will mock it up and blow air through it.

As long as it doesn't lay out some turd number in the low 700 range I'll be happy. I have a few friends that have the smaller D1SC on a smaller stroker LS and makes 760 and the other one makes 680hp. He has been giving me crap about mine not beating him.

Wish me luck. Either way, It will be a fun car to drive.

I have a 650hp (flywheel) D1-SC engine with a CS Holley on it. When the dyno shop ran the engine they put the carb on and didn't have to touch it anymore. They said they have always had to mess with carbs coming out of the box. But then again, CS has so much blow through experience, if you tell them you're engine and power adder specs, they will build you a perfect carb.

Thanks Johnny, I was hoping that someone would chime in on their experience they had with them.

Hey, you came by my shop with your dad and your Cuda a while back. Hows things going? I thought you were heading to Texas for a while?

I did mine last year...the only dyno shop in my town is at a diesel truck place and they didn't really know anything about cars and thought they should tell me what to do...BE FIRM with what YOU want. They first had me have a go in 3rd of my TH400 and it was rough and really didn't want me to adjust anything in between my runs (only 3). Overall it was a pretty bad experience...my first time dyno'ing anything and I just didn't voice what I wanted enough..
