Hey guys been a long time since I spent any quality time here. My usual haunts arent going to have the experience or creativity you guys do. My dilema, a few years back when I was hot and heavy on the Duster, we installed a full rollcage. Then it sat for a couple of years...blame Harley Davidson. So now I have matured, and gotten more in touch with my reality! hahahaha! I realized the car I want doesnt need a cage, I dont want a Streetfighter, I want a Pro touring car. Fast, comfortable, borderline luxurious with amenities! If only I knew then! So the cage has alot of sentimental value, it was built over several long months with a close friend, for free. The time I spent with my buddy is priceless, and I cant bring myself to cut out the cage because of it. My problem, several of the factory tin trim pieces will not fit between the close gaps of structure and cage. The dash wont even come out! Going to have to cut it in half, modify it, and then weld it back together! Tylenol take me away! All of the factory vinyl will fit minus the dashpad! I may be able to cut the trim around the cage, tightly enough to have good fit, and appearance. Or I am considering getting out the welder and smoothing the interior, filling holes, headliner teeth etc etc, doing the bodywork and so on! However I really need a quiet interior. Can I tint lizard skin to the interior color and spray it all, and then leave it? A little help here guys.... just start spitballing....someone or together we can come up with something that will allow me to enjoy this car to its potential. Thank you, looking forward to all of your expertise and creative ideas! Dan

Zolatone is a waterborne acrylic spray finish, that is multi-colored. Similar in finish to the speckled spray coatings used in automotive trunks in the 50-60's.

This has become a very refined finish, mainly utilized in commercial and hospitality applications.

Now there are multicolored finishes, metallic speckled finishes, metallic overlays........ The list truely does go on and on. There are also many different manufacturers with similar products.

The only drawback: the application equipment is not standard automotive.

Let me know if you want more info, I used to be a distributor of these finishes.
