Just curious what guys are using out there for pedal set ups? As of now Im leaning toward the factory style pedals because of the master cylinder setup. Im not sure that running a balance bar is necessary so I was looking at doing a factory style pedal set up with a single master for the front and rear. I looked into the Tilton pedals but they only offer separate masters with the balance bar and that may be to much for the street. I do plan to track my car but dont know much about balance bars and brakes for that matter.

Any thoughts or ideas on which way to go or other ideas?

If you are not going to use factory pedals and do not want a balance bar then the best choice is Kugel Komponents.

yeah, it is really nice stuff with tons of options.

In that car though my first choice would be the stock pedal assembly. If you are going the custom firewall and sheetmetal route then definitely go with the Kugel set up. we use them in everything we build here and never have a problem. the steel arms allow us to place the pedal pads exactly where we want them. For a little flash, Lokar does billet pedal arms that are really beefy.

Jerry Kugel and all of his childeren are racers at heart and run Bonneville every year so they know what works and if it doesn't they fix it until it does. While I am pimping Kugel their shock mock-ups are awesome for setting ride height on Coilover cars during the mock up stages. they can be found here. http://www.kugelkomponents.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25_28 these are the cat's azz....

Has anyone used the Kugel reverse 90 degree under dash units? I'm working on a 69 Camaro and wanted to completely hide the master cylinder, brake booster, etc under the dash. Will it all fit? I will be able to remove the top half of the Marquez dash pretty easily with a few bolts when needed, so not worried about access to the brake fluid reservoir. Their units do look nice though, so hoping someone else has done this.

Yep, we have used them. Its the same install wise as the thru firewall mount except the booster and master is inside where it is a pain in the arse to get at......not just for service, but plumbing is more complicated then and pedal adjustments aren't the easiest either. Oh and make sure you have no leaks before upholstery.

To me it's not worth the effort, the aesthetic gain does not offset the mechanical issues.
