I have been debating on making some of these oil pickup tube girdles. It uses a bolt on both sides of the tube to equalize clamping force to insure tube is straight & o-ring stays in proper location. Was thinking $15.00 shipped. Comes with the girdle & 2 bolts.

If I can get 25 of them sold I will have them made.

Even though I got very little response on my initial thread, I decided to make some anyway.
This is the first one I assembled recently. I had to do too much sanding on it to fit, so going to redesign my part & have some cut again.

I guess I missed your initial thread. Put me down for a few of them.... I will start offering them with my drop out engines when I do the Mast oil pan swaps for the prospective buyer.

Does this solve a known problem?

A post about them on LS1ttech:
It's mainly a piece-of-mind type of thing. I agree that if you install the tube properly, this really isn't necessary, but on the other hand, combined with all of the other "piece of mind" things I pissed money away on, every time I stomp on the motor, I can be confident that the motor isn't going to self destruct.
And, like others have said, after the tweaking I needed to do on my pickup tube, I was glad that I had a collar keeping the oil pump end where it belongs while I was reefing on the other end.

Brp has made a similar girdle for years; you might want to be sure it isn't patented before proceeding.

I'll try and get some here soon. Been fighting being sick, family sick, a truck with busted break lines, & too much other bad luck to go into.

Have a handful done. I used the original ones I had cutout. Had to grind & file on them to get them to work. Next ones (If I make more) I will change some dimensions so less grinding is required. Couldn't get pic of it on the pump as my motor is in the corner of the garage behind a bunch of stuff at the moment.

Are you still making these or have one available to buy?

Initially I made a dozen or so. Wasn't a big demand for them so I didn't make more. I think they are all gone but I may have one laying around. I'll look but I doubt I have any left.
