I'm going to take the car in and have the DSE fill plate welded in and firewall repainted but I'm looking for some suggestions on what holes to fill besides just the fill plate. I'll be using mostly stock stuff, the ignition box may be installed on the firewall, using a Painless 18 circuit harness so I don't know if I need the large hole behind the distributor. I'll be running the A/C and heater hoses through the blower motor hole most likely, with the Vintage Air cover that has the 4 holes.
Next, I need to decide what color to paint the engine bay. It's going to be a driver and toy. The firewall and inner fenders are currently body color, but the core support is black but needs repainted. I'm thinking to just do it in black, as the body color is a dark blue so it wouldn't really pop anyway. The dash will stay body color I think for cost and time considerations.
Lastly, I'm tempted to paint the hood and cowl panel black, just for something different. It's a stock steel hood. That may progress into a two tone depending on what I can find to go witht he body color. Thoughts? It's a ways down the road to that point.
Car is Indigo Blue Metallic, but the shop said they added a whole bunch of black because they thought it was too light, so it's pretty dark.
