I had the chance to meet him last year at the Javet Center. The guy that painted his bikes also paints a friend of mines bikes. He was so down to earth. He was the only bike builder that didn't care about the Hollywood scene. I watched him take kids young and old and brought them in to sit on his bikes. While he explained different parts to them.

I'm glad I had the opritunity to get this photo taken with him.

That is a sad loss in the bike industry. He was one of those awsome builders that gets overshadowed by names like OCC, Arlene Ness or WCC simply because he never really had a "hollywood" bike shop. He was one of the last true old skool bikers and will be missed.

Very sad.. I saw him on the 'biker build off" and his whole attitude was so cool.. of all the bike builders he was the one that I would have like to hang out with the most.. My wife thought he was so cool..

How come the good ones in the sport always get taken? (Earnhardt, Lingerfelter, etc) :(

That is an unfortunate accident but I never did like the thought of him riding no handed on his bike in front of people like that. Especially when they showed him on the DIscovery channel and he had his feet on the handle bar with his arms behind his head like in a recliner.
Still a great loss.

He died doing what he loved, we should all be that lucky.

Have a good flight Larry!
