Thanks for the kind words fellas. I'm glad I get the chance to showcase the level of work we put out.

Travis,

I have about 10 pics of the engine from a bunch of different angles. I'll post them up tomorrow at work...

What camera are you using?

Andrew,

I'm using an old Nikon Coolpix 995 rated at a wonderful 3.34 mp. It takes a little work to get them to look decent. I've been dropping hints for them to purchase a new camera to use.

Travis,
I remembered I already have the pictures on our site.
They are at the bottom of the page.

What kind of "work" are you doing to make the pics look so good? I have a 3.5 MP digital I'd like to get better pictures from.

I use manual focus mode on my camera with a little noise reduction, sharpening, and I set the white balance depending on location.

I almost never use the flash due to it being well lit here.

I finish all my pictures in Paint Shop Pro 9 which is like Photoshop.

Just about every picture receives noise reduction to sharpen edges, histogram adjustment to brighten or darken, color adjustment, and I finish them off with a little clarify.

All levels depend on where in the building I take the pictures and the color of the vehicle plays a big part also.

I usually mess with them until they look just about right. I hate to over do things. This camera tends to have a yellow tint in all pictures. Adjusting the color balance by adding some blue tend to work well.

The Clarify I use gives the pics that little extra pop.

They just ordered a new monitor for me to help with my results. I'd love to see the results if I could get a SLR or even something in the 7 mp range in the camera department.

What kind of car is the Turbo SBC going into? You have a jig for the hot parts? Very curious as to what something like that would run cost wise. Looking for something like that for my 69 once my 95 is finished.

Thanks,

Dave

I will send you a pm with some info on Monday.

The vehicle for that engine is a third gen Firebird and I believe it was fitted in the vehicle.

I love that pic with sparks flyin'! I find myself sometimes watching the sparks when I'm grinding on something.
