Has any one tried using the trans cooler in a radiator as a power steering cooler? Not too sure how hot the p/s system operates but if it around the same as the engine cooling system, it should work.

i was thinking about this the other day. You would have to feed the cooler on the return side for sure. My biggest issue was that you want the PS fluid to run cooler than most engine coolant runs from what I understood.....it might act as a power steering warmer.

i run a ps and oil cooler w/ dedicated fan. Run them bout 3" in front of the main radiator center toward the grill (PITA install but worth it). i know the ps get damn hot especially when ambient temps are high and you are pounding it with alot of caster and pulling wide tires hard all afternoon.

I think another concern is you don't want any flow restriction.

I thought 4th gen F-bodies had a power steering cooler in the top radiator hose...

I've seen power steering coolers on a lot of Fords for some reason. I think they for sure came on highway patrol fox Mustangs. Look like an aftermarket trans cooler with like only two tubes in the fins instead of several. Hope that makes sense. :)

guessing 200 to 300 degrees, enough to boil out during an autocross, I am running a derale cooler (kit part number 13210) and a filter from magnefine that Pozzi suggested (now a rebestos product) that works well on autocross and large track, its an easy fix and together runs about 60 bucks

I have seen them for sale in the classifieds so I know they exist. Wasn't sure if it was worth doing or not.
