1-Shot Lettering Enamel

I'm planning on painting designs all over my car using 1-Shot Lettering Enamel. What grit sandpaper should I use? How much do I need to sand off before it's done? And does 1-Shot Lettering Enamel need primer underneath it?

safe would be 400. 1 shot can go on top of paint if it not peeling. Clean & degrease to remove surface oils, waxes
