I have baer 6P front and C6 Z06 rear brake combo. What size master cylinder should I use. I will be running manual brakes or possible hydro-boost. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Clu

Hey Clu - Dutch @ Baer reccomended 15/16 to me for their 6ps front and rear. I don't know how much piston sq area there is in a Z06 rear, but if you found out and compared that to the 6p you might be able to make an informed decision. Tobin probably knows!

The C6 Z06 calipers have the following piston areas:

Front Caliper - 6 x ø33mm [ø1.30"] Pistons w/ Area = 2565 mm^2 [3.98 in^2]
Rear Caliper - 4 x ø30mm [ø1.18"] Pistons w/ Area = 1413 mm^2 [2.19 in^2]

With C6 Z06 brakes front and rear, we normally suggest running a 7/8 to 15/16 bore MC for manual application and a more aggressive "FF" or "GG" CoF rated pad. With hydroboost, we actually detune things somewhat with a 1-1/8 bore MC and less aggressive pad like an "EE" ceramic option unless you need/want the higher temperature ratings associated with more track friendly pad compounds. I don't remember the exact piston area of the Baer 6P...I think it was a little bigger at something near 4.5 sq. inches...but don't hold me to that. Hopefully a Baer distributor or someone who knows the piston sizes and area will chime in.
