Not sure if I have this thread in the right place or maybe it should belong in restorations, Anyway, I need a shop in the Atlanta area to finish my 69 Camaro. I gave the last guy plenty of time, money and chances. Now after 2 1/2 years I still don't have a finished car. Not that he totally ignored my car but it's not done and I can't get back the 2 1/2 years. It has all the sheetmetal work, primer/sealer and the first coat of black paint, but not enough paint (imo) to put the car back together and wet sand and buff.
Any leads to a good man with a good reputation and the time to work on MY car would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott

Same old story. So many guys in my industry are like that. Ship it to me. Im in California. I have a car from Atlanta now. Check me out at http://www.youtube.com/user/WestCoastAutoCraft and www.westcoastautocraft.com . It might seem obsurd to ship it this far, but think about what you just went through.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard that story! I just picked up a 69 camaro that had already been in two different shops. I am only about 45 minutes north of Birmingham Alabama. You can give me a call at 256-345-2174 if you are interested in looking at some of our work. Here is a video of my 72 we just finished if you are interested.

It's not the quality of the work that drove me crazy. I really think the work looks fine. It's the fact that 2 1/2 years later it's not done. I hear some folks say that's not to bad but thats bull****. It's got paint but I am not sure if it's enough. I want someone to finish the paint and put it all back together. I have spent a ton and want to beat the snot out of my 761hp BBC 69 Camaro. Am I really asking too much. I appreciate all the offers so far but I going to see if I can find someone a little more local before I ship it off again. I would love to actually see the car and the updates every once in a while.

I'm not really sure who said 2 1/2 years is not very long but we just did a rotisserie restoration on a 67 camaro with two new quarters, full trunk pan, driver side floor pan and partial firewall in 6 months. Feel free to give me a call if we can help!

72camarors,
Thanks for the link, I was refering to Camaros.net when I said some people think 2 1/2 years is not bad. I had a thread over there looking for a resto shop as well and someone said that the time issue was not too bad, I think differently. I appreciate your offer, I am going to try and find someone close to home so I can see it more often but who knows.

MoonMan,
Thanks for the the name, I will do some research.

If you just need body work done. I have an excellent guy in Southeast GA. He has replaced both quarters, rear package trey, roof, installed DSE mini tubs, smoothed the firewall, fixed the rockers, reskinned a door, and has mudded the entire car, seam sealed, and put in primer for around 5400. He charges $20 an hour and does excellent work.
