i have a 65 mustang, witch uses rubber seals. the first rubbers seals leaked very badly, so i replace the old ones for new ones. and they leaked as well. so i got the windows out again and reinstalled them with alote off sealer. but they keep leaking. so i replaced the rubber gaskets for ford licented seals. same story, they leaked, so i brought the car to a car window specialist, but still they leak.
so now i have the idea to glue them in, insteed off using a rubber seal.
what do you think off that idea?

Are you positive it's the window leaking and not the cowl?

i already closed the cowl to rule that out. both the front and rear windows leak.

I have the same problem on my '66 mustang. We glued them in on a friends '64 galaxie with no issues.

Gluing them in helps strengthen the structure of the car too.

thanks, i will glue them and uses the top part from the rubber seal to close the gap between the window and stainless trim.
