Interesting, wasn't there a vega or something similar that had a wood burning trailer and used the carbon in the smoke as a combustible fuel source for the car? I believe it was also a biomass vehicle.

It might be cheaper to drive but aslong as it needs huge tanks on the back I don't think it will attract too many. That car reminds me of the Nissan diesel powered Elcamino from some years back. I wish the guys here in Finland would stop modifying them already and use something else instead like a ranchero :P

That is pretty awesome. Unfortunately like most of the green technologies that are legit out there it needs a lot of development before it would even come close to being considered practical.

35 years ago working on a farm, my boss had a F150 pickup that ran on wood smoke. It was used in Europe alot during WW2. Not much power but better than nothing.
