We are now manufacturing replacement hood braces for '55 Chevy's. These braces are CNC machined from billet aluminum and are available in a polished finish, machined finish, or any of our powdercoat colors. Prices are $160 for polished, and $130 for machined.

The '56 and '57 will be available soon.

We had a car in the shop that had no hood latch support whatsoever! This was a finished car that was just here for some tune up work. It's blown and has a hole cut in the hood - not sure why they didn't reinstall the factory piece though. I saw this here so we ordered one for the car.

It got here today and we installed it, and it is a great looking piece! You can't beat it for that kind of money. We had to round the lower edge of the side brackets to fit our hood, which may have been due to the lack of support for so long or maybe just the differences from one hood to another.

Nice piece...looks much better than the original stamped steel part. I'll keep this in mind when I do my '57 hardtop. Ever thought about doing replacement hood bullets/scoops in billet? The pot metal original style parts start looking bad in no time.

Glad you guys like em. We'll for sure look at the hood bullets.

The '57 hood brace has been fit and we are going in to production. Here's a couple shots.
