I talked with extremespeed and they said all there events for 2011 will be them only for all track days.

I haven't signed up yet. Long as I have a running car and good tires and no other conflicts I'm always down for a track day. Though if you guys keep this up I'm never going to get to work on the car and install that rear bar ha ha ha.

Ok, once you pay, then I know you are in---then I will pay and we can start working out the timing of it and all that fun stuff. So this is a Sunday event---You guys will come up Sat night then right? Chad, Tom, Brett, Goggles Pizan---let's stay in touch as I may drive up Sat evening for this one since El Diablo and the Magic Man will be in town that night.

With all upgrades included this season budget will only allow one trip down south. Between watts link, minitubs, and tires and wheels this season I have to choose between Buttonwillow and Willows.

What are the odds of us getting a track day at Buttonwillow this season?

Jon, it would be cool if you could make it even without the car. What are you doing to it that you can't bring it out in 3 weeks? Well a little over 3 weeks so you have 3 FULL weekends plus a saturday to make it happen!

BTW this is wait listed now. Thought I was talking to Joel, the owner, and he is doing a special run group that starts at 1pm and goes until 7pm. $70 for that group which includes transponder for timing.

I just exchanged emails with Joel. We are running CCW so my previous experience and your video watching will not be too helpful! lol

Just guessing but CCW should provide a pretty good top speed increase on the front straight. you will now being going downhill thought the corner at the end will be much slower so maybe braking sooner will offset?

Jon, come on out and bring a helmet! I Instruct for ExtremeSpeed, so you can ride along with me (if you aren't afraid of Ford Cooties!). I am traction-limited with cruddy tires at the moment, so I think I will be at the slower end of the Intermediate run group pace, which is where I think everyone is signing up. For that reason, I won't be worried about serious times and the weight won't matter. We can enjoy the view and perhaps do some filming of the other guys as they go by, if we can't run close.

For everyone else, let me know, and I can approach Joel about "specials" for the P-T crew, in regards to transponders, etc. He's an ex-Cobra owner, so despite having an S2000, he has a soft spot for the V-8 crew and loves to see us out there. By the way, we do have a Buttonwillow date set, as well as the Big Willow deal in June.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you, running some fun sessions and being able to put some faces to names and screen names.

Look me up. I'll be watching for all of you. We actually have one nice late-model Stang coming in Intermediate, so we may dominate that group with American Iron for once! I hear there are also a few late model Camaro's from Camaro5 coming out, but I think they will be grouped in Beginner.

You will see higher speeds on the front straight, and it's hard on the brakes (safe- plenty of run off room now, with the whole skid pad to collect yourself if you over do it). Where you actually will see a big difference, is running up the hill -through the S's-. If you have the stones to hold it wide open and have a steady hand to go up and over the blind rise, you will be blazing as you come into the bowl turn.

I have a in-car video of CCW from earlier this year. Let me see if I can find it. It was a VERY slow Instructional session with a first time ever Gal in a late model Mustang. If nothing else, it will show you what it looks like going that direction. Even if the lines aren't perfect, you may find the commentary entertaining as I try to get her lines and pace right.
