That's a good question, in any case I'm sure there was some serious structural damage there from the looks of it. They're all lucky he wasn't holding the brakes harder, would have been a much more severe hit.

It boggles my mind to try and figure how someone could be completely oblivious of a car in front of them with rally stripes on it....

Same thing happened to me in my Nova. I was at the back end of traffic on the freeway and someone in a Silverado "fell asleep at the wheel" and rear ended me.

Needless to say, now I'm constantly checking mirrors for idiot drivers approaching too fast.

had that happened to me in a chevelle, car was fixed but was never the same, rear window leaked as well as the trunk. never got all the seams sealed. got rid of the car
