Thanx. If you need a cool 4 door that is easy to get and fairly cheap the Box B-body sedans are a great start. Lots of suspension options, roomy and can handle well.

Older 4dr Mopars are a dime a dozen and there are tons of suspension vendors.

4623146232Thought id stick mine on here, its a 1972 Pontiac LeMans which originally had a straight six but now has a 327 chevy lump with mild mods(due for a rebuild),350 auto. The rear end is an lsd setup removed from a 1986 TransAm GTA with custom four link and disc brakes. The interior is sourced from a 2001 SAAB 93,which surprisingly fits rather nicely, the dash and door cards were dyed using vinyl dye as all the interior was biege. The idea was to build a muscle car for a budget using second hand parts and Ebay finds but i had to buy some new parts such as wheels and radiator etc.

I bought this 73 Nova for $500 from someone who had to unload it quick. It came with a fairly recent repaint and seats re-covered and the chrome wheels. I drove this in high school in the late 80's and fixed it up as I could. First run at the track was with the original 307 with a Holley 600, Performer intake, small cam, camel hump heads, duels, and 2.73 gears. Ran 16.0 @ 87 mph.

My senior year ('88) when the hot ticket was lowered mini trucks I got a little crazy and invented Pro-touring (lol!) and lowered it 3" and put in a 327 short block in with all the old bolt ons. It ran 15.0 @ 94 spinning the right tire out of the hole. Those are 14" steel wheels with moon discs. The car was REALLY low and could push a soda can on its side with the frame cross member. Very fun car to drive for the era.

Couple years later I built a nasty 406 and added a lot of fiberglass, a 4.56 12 bolt and a 4500 stall for the ultimate sleeper. It was my daily driver and went high 11'80's @ 110 with a 1.63 60' and the left wheel off the ground out of the hole. All I changed to go to the track was bolt on slicks and a couple gallons of 105 race gas, then went home and drove it to work the next morning. These times aren't much to speak of now but in '91 it was a quick street car and surprised a lot of folks light to light.

Unfortunately the Nova got so rusty living on the Florida coast I eventually found my current 74 2-door Nova to replace it. As ugly as it was I miss that 4 door, especially at cruise nights.
Currently I own 3 5-doors-

My wife's grocery getter, a '77 2500 Burby. Stock bottom end 454 with a couple bolt ons and a/c. Yes we live close to the grocery store, 9 mpg around town on a good day. :(

Plans for it are a 6" drop, 5 lug conversion with highway gears, a 700r4, and wide 20's. Top half satin black and bottom shiny red. If I had my way it'd have a supercharged 502 in it.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/08/BigRedartcopy-1.jpg
And finally our camping beater, a 76 4x4 Burby. It has a torquey 406 small block, a 4" lift and 33's, 6 lug Corvette rally wheels w/phantom bead locks and lots of Rocky Mountain pinstriping (scratches). :hand:

I've been thinking about picking up a more door for a bit now. Just want something to built into a highway cruiser, with a bit of balls. There are some nice examples in here...
