I am looking to upgrade my headlights on my 69 maro and was wondering if anyone had pics of the dse lights on at night. I dont post here often but i read alot of the posts. my head has been spinning trying to figure out the whole hid vs halogen thing. It seems like these dse lights are a direct drop in over stock and that is more my speed. also want to "match" the front fogs to the headlights if possible or just "modernize" them. does anyone know of a good upgrade for the fogs? I saw the ones summit carries and im not in love with the led color ring around the light. looking for something a little more subdued and "cleaner". Thanks

Morris Classic Concepts offers something cool for your '69 "fog" lights... aka running lights
Look about halfway down the page. They may be marketed through Summit and could be what you already found.

Thanks for info. I think those are the ones summit has. Im not opposed to those just not sure if the color ring will look right with my car. my car is blue and not sure if the blue they offer will look right.

I guess you could get the multi-color LED and change the color as your mood changes. There may be a hue that looks right or perhaps there is a clear setting.
Here is a pic of them "on" as installed on Hot Rod 1.
I see no hint of a color ring. Maybe if you talk to MCC they will set your mind at ease.

Yes we made the lights for Hot Rod 1 .
The reason you can't see the glow ring is that the
55 quartz driving lights are on. We have them with
Red, Green or a 7 color LED.Our lights are elevation
adjustable and have a mirror polished stainless steel
shroud that bolts directly into the valance panel.

That looks like what im looking for. I am still a bit confused about the 7 color lights. I guess that means you can pick one of seven colors to be on at a time? Or do you relpace the bulb? or all seven colors are on at once like some kind of weird ty dyed 60's thing? I guess i should call and get the scoop from those who make them. thanx for helping out. I would love a picture like the one you posted with the DSE lights on. I would like to see how they look before dropping 2bills on them, ya know?

The lights you are looking at are made by us Morris Classic Concepts.
The 7 Color lights are LED,Yes you select the color you want or just don't activate them at all,
Our Driving Light Conversion kit has an Amber Daytime Light, Turn Signal , 55 Watt Driving Light , Glow Ring and the lights are elevation adjustable to maximum Driving Light output.
Also our lights are mounted in a Stainless Steel Shroud that bolts directly in.

You are most welcome.
I am rather envious of the MCC update for your '69 turn signal/running light but I have a '68 so no such luck with a similar option being available because it is an odd shaped fixture on a '68.
I am also interested in the same DSE "bright light" upgrade to Halogen. Now, you also mentioned Halogen vs. HID. I think that monetarily that may be like comparing a stack of twenties to a stack of hundreds, but I could be mistaken.
By way of comparison- having too many hobbies I have seen some crappy hid conversions for motorcycles, but they were all prohibitively expensive. I am unaware of hid conversions for a 7" headlight fixture like our cars take although I am sure they are out there.
