Are there adapter brackets available for installing 3rd gen ('82-'90) Firebird/Camaro bucket seats into '70-'72 A-bodies (Chevelle/GS/GTO/442)?

I don't want to remove the original bucket seat brackets from my '70 GS, but would like to fabricate/use adapter brackets to install a pair of '85 Firebird S/E seats (Recaro style).

Try contacting Jim at motorsportseats.com (http://www.motorsportseats.com/). He was able to get me custom seat mounts from Wedge Engineering (http://www.wedgeengineering.net/). They mound my sparcos lower and further back than stock to accommodate my 6'4" height.

GM used similar spacings on bucket seats across the board, if there is any variations it will be just a matter of re-drilling or enlarging the holes in the brackets. Why not try to locate an extra set of A-body seat brackets (unless they are rare or something) and mod them to fit the 3rd gen seats? Odds are they could be a direct bolt on.

I've already tried to install the ('85) Firebird seats in the '70 GS, with the original bucket seat brackets, but they're not as wide to fit the brackets.
The Firebird seats are much narrower, so I may have to make a custom bracket adapter for F-body to A-body (I enjoy DIY projects, and would rather use materials already available to me to make my own, before I'd buy an aftermarket adapter that may or may not fit, without being able to test fit to be sure).

The FIrebird seats are more comfortable & adjustable than the bulky A-body buckets, so as soon as I can figure out how to adapt them, I'd like to.
