New wiring harness questions

I'm about to bite the bullet on an American Autowire harness and I just have some questions for anyone that's installed one before. I'm looking at the modified restoration harness but it doesn't say how many circuits are in it. Is it possible to add more circuits later if I max everything out? Do I need any special crimping tools to install it or does it all come pre-assembled?

Does anyone have any better pics of the fuse box and/or the entire kit? The picture on the site is kinda small.

Thought I had more questions but I can't think of any more, lol. I already emailed AAW but they haven't responded.

you won't max one out unless you are doing some radical stuff and then I would start looking at ISIS. Special crimpers not required but alot easier to do. Fuse box bolts into stock location, ends are not installed for custom routing with extra long wires.

The ISIS is actually what I really want, but I want to rewire the car while it's in pieces right now so AAW is the next best thing. Thanks for the help!

I used the AAW update kit on my 1st gen. Very happy with it, plenty of room to add accessories, and they were very helpful with my problems/questions. I never had used the crimpers before, but I bought a kit with interchangeable jaws, so I can use them for anything. They give you some spare connectors for you to practice with. Scott

I used AAW stock replacement underhood harnesses in my 77 and modified them myself. Headlight relays, ign relay, updated and relocated alternator, some other things. Their quality was top shelf.

You should call them and not email them.

If you use AAW I would highly recommend getting the proper crimping tools. I've seen guys try using their standard wire crimpers only to have the crimpers cut wires or have the connector come loose later. The AAW kits have the stock GM style terminals, T-54 and such. They actually carry the proper crimping tools in their product line. I'm sure the site vendors can get them for you. Be ready to spend a little. I think my last two crimping pliers were about $60-$70 each.
