We`ve been talking with Currie a lot lately about clients running absolutely sick horsepower on the street. A well built 9" with soft ProGears in it can handle 1500 hp but they wear out uber fast and fill the diff with metal grit as they wear. Regular gears wear well but they`re too brittle and that kind of power will shatter them if the car ever hooks. That leaves the serious guys swapping center sections back and forth all the time. I wanted a no compromise solution that let them set the car on "KILL" and still put lots of street miles on it. The result is the Ultra-Pro 10 TEN INCH rear end. Yes, I said 10". The 10" format was originally concieved for Unlimited class desert racing trophy trucks weighing up to 8,000 lbs. with around 800 hp running high speed endurance races. They needed MORE strength than a Dana 60 but with LESS weight. I`m told it`s been trickling down into ProStock as well. This format uses thick, massive gears (using special alloys and heat treating) and huge bearings to handle the abuse but the gears are also hardened for long term durability. Currie says in street trim they should be good for up to 1500hp. :) These internals make Dana 60 parts look downright wimpy. It`s not just the ring gear diameter either, it`s the the thickness of the ring gear, the length and thickness of the teeth, the size of the pinion, etc. We`ve had them shoehorn these monster components into a modified F9 faceted housing that`s direct fit for popular Street/Strip and Pro Touring applications. They come standard with 35 spline axles (gun drilling optional) ,tapered axle bearings, PlatinumTrac 12 gear torsen type diff, TrophyTruck pinion bearing package, 35 spline billet steel 1350 yoke etc. The best of the best. The Ultra-Pro 10 isn`t exactly cheap but it`s the last word in high performance street rear ends. Available exclusively from SC&C. www.SCandC.com (http://www.SCandC.com)

Nice! Maybe one of these babies will find it's way into my Camaro when I start to get serious with it! :smoke:

Looks sweet, but why even show the 7.5" ring gear? I think everyone knows they break if you look at them wrong, it would seem more appropriate to show an 8.5" or 8.875".

Just sayin.

Matt, there was just a 7.5" ring gear sitting on the bench when they were taking the pics and it was just too funny not to include it. The really funny part is that it`s about 1/4 the weight of the 10" gear! An 8.875" 12 bolt ring gear looks a lot like the 9" gear but thinner in cross section and .125" smaller in dia. :) Maybe I can get them to do a 12 bolt and a Dana 60 ring gear comparo too.

Kenova, you don`t know how hard it was not to name it that! We didn`t want to get in trouble with Stephen Tyler and company though. LOL!

It would be the perfect advertising tag line LOL.
I can't believe someone didn't post the song reference before me.
