I just bought a 67 Mustang fastback with a 427 side oiler in it with two 700cfm Holley throttle bodies. It is a pro-jection system with two control units i guess you could say. Anyway, the car is not running right now and I was wondering what I need to do first as far as tuning in wise for the first fire.

Thanks and any help is appreciated.

I would contact Holly Tech. about this. When you state there are two control units. Do you mean there are two brains, is there also two sets of sensors? If so eliminate one of the control units and one set of sensors. One control box should be able to control both throttle bodies.

The older units had a computer to control the injection and fast idle solenoid but ran open loop. An optional box to run in closed loop with an oxygen sensor was available as an add-on.

yeah i guess i should contact Holley tech. Yes there are two brains, each with there own control knobs. I figured I would call them and see if they can provide some information, along with me trying to understand these directions.

Thanks

Are they 2 or 4 injector units? If they are 2 injector units with their respective controls, you can get rid of them both and use 1 control unit from a 4 injector unit. In fact, Holley made a system that did just that, it was called the Pro-Jection 2x2. I just so happen to have one! If you're going to run the Holley throttle bodies do yourself a favor and have the injectors checked. The old units were side feed and the injector's armiture was constantly immersed in fuel. The armiture was coated with an epoxy to protect it from shorting out, but the alcohol added to todays oxygenated fuels eats away the epoxy and shorts out the injector. Ask me how I know.
