Is there any advantage to running aftermarket fuel rails? I see lots of combos using them. Or is it just for a cleaner look?

I also interested in this as well. Why are they necessary?

Just my opinion, TIFWIW......
Aftermaket rails afford more flexibilty for your fuel system, i.e., larger crossover(s), dual line feeds if required, single or dual regulator capability, enhanced volume capability, etc.......the clean looks are a by product of the design, and surely an enhancement to any engine compartment. I wouldn't compare them to a pair of chrome valve covers though...as they do serve a purpose...

I swapped an LS1 intake on a truck motor (clearance). The aftermarket rails allows use of the truck injectors and wiring.
