I ordered 2 rims from a company in Feb.
well here it is nearing the end of march and no rims
i called on them twice.
the frist time the lady at the front desk said they were being cut. I could under stand that at the time i called.
the second time i called (3days ago) she was stumped and said they should of bein shipped by now
she put me on hold to go check the shop, she came back and said the guys said they are still being cut
does 2 months seem 2 long for 2 rims?????

depends on the company. Not out of realm, but not normal for a few select companies

2 months seems like a long time to cut 2 wheels. That's one a month. So they produce 12 a year?
The sqeaky wheel gets the oil. Keep on them.

I feel your pain. When I ordered wheels about 3 years ago it took forever to get them. Its hard to stay patient! At first it was they will be done in a month....then two....then, well you get the idea.

6 to 8 weeks is pretty common for custom wheels.

You didn't mention when in February you ordered the wheels. If it is towards the end, then you are only 4 weeks out. Even if it was towards the beginning of February, 6-12 weeks is not crazy for custom wheels.

We recently ordered a set of Forgelines and had them in three weeks.. so yea, two months seems like awhile.
But, to be fair, the wait for four rims is the same as two.. most of the time "waiting" for rims to be made is waiting for the ones ahead of you in line to be finished.

Relax, some wheels take longer. Just be glad you're not getting them built in Japan, it would be 5-6+ months

Steve, I'm surprised it took that long for you to get your wheels. LOL

I ordered my front 2 wheels 29 weeks ago and I am still waiting also. I would have loved if it only took 2 months!

29 weeks is way too long to wait for any set of wheels I know of. I dont care if they mounted and balanced the tires by themselves. Now if they weighed 5 lbs each........lol

so just wondering when they are cutting a rim on the mill do they shut it down at the end of the day or let it cut through the night????

Running a CNC mill is not the same as using a Ronco "set it and forget it" rotisserie grill.

I could tell you a horror story about wheels but I won't...what I will say is what seems like life & death now will only amount to a hill of beans 6 months from now so live life to the fullest each and everyday and don't sweat the small stuff.
Now if I can only follow my own advice,I'll be fine,lol...

My Christmas present to myself is currently 16weeks and counting. Of course at the moment it doesn't matter since I am having a hard time making time to work on my project.
