If you’re not familiar with the E-Rod Camaro, it started out as an unloved, beat ’79 Camaro that was upgraded with a GM Performance Parts E-Rod emissions legal LS crate engine, T-56 6-speed transmission, Hotchkis suspension, and more!

I got the Hotchkis TVS awhile ago and as my Z28 was being overhauled we added it. Fit very nicely...
I am dying here because it will be another three weeks before I can drive it, then there is break in time (for the rear end).
OK OK I have a smaller engine 350HO (300 HP) & a Turbo 400, but I miss driving my Camaro..... THANKS for the video.....

So they question here is when are you going to put some better tires on that car and see what it can really do? I want to see the numbers it could do with : Hankook Z214, Hoosier A6, Kumho Ecsta XS, Sumitomo HTR Z, Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, I could keep going....

SLO Z28,

That would be a great test. At least they tested the car with some real-world street tires for a baseline. We remember when magazine project cars didn’t get tested at all. We can all bench race and know the numbers would be better with some stickier tires.
