I am looking to put discs on the front of my dad's 63 Bel Air to make it a little more driveable. I found an 11" setup on Speedway Motors dot com for like $239 and a booster/mc for $209. We are trying to stay economical and get the drums off.

Anything else I should look at? Price seems reasonable.

looks like simple system I would call when ordering and ask for the correct hard lines to install the system, that will save alot of headaches if they can set you up with the Hard-lines

I ordered the brake system but the guy on the phone was clueless about brake lines. Installed everything this morning and still have the brake line dilemma.

The stock manual 4 drum system had a single reservoir master cylinder. As such, the brake line goes out of the master and basically continues in series to each wheel. Here is what I mean by that. It goes down from the master to a junction block on the left frame rail where one branch goes to the left front wheel and the other continues under the engine to the right frame rail. On the right rail there is another junction block where one branch goes to the right front wheel and the other continues to the back of the car.

My question is this. Could I just run a separate line from the rear reservoir of the new dual master to the existing rear brake line and block off the port in the junction block where the rear brake line used to connect? If I should just be putting new brake lines on the whole thing who would you recommend calling to order them. Speedway Motors did not seem to have a clue.

blocking the port and running a line to the rear of the master should work. Inline tube has a kit for installing a dual master cylinder in the B body cars.

Got the brake line thing handled with a kit from CPP. Now both banjo fittings are leaking at the calipers. I used new crush washers and even swapped out one side with another set. How tight should I torque them? The kit uses 78-early 80s Malibu calipers.
