Half Life 2 Who else plays this?

I have been playing this game off and on since the day it came out. I dont play much online against other people but I must say the single player is the Best First person I have ever played in my life.
EDIT: I only get to play it once or twice a month.

I forgot how much I love Half Life 2. The puzzles are just so impressive some times especially how most of them deal with physics!! Anyway the game seems to be getting extremely action packed right now and involves a lot more strategy. I am currently on the level with the huge walking spiders that shoot out of their private area. :lmao: Sure made it interresting when there were 3 of them and they kill you within a couple shots.
My favorite parts in the few levels that I did recently was setting up the turrets to kill whoever came by them. That was great fun. I set them up in a triangle around me and no one could even get close. Well except the occasional grenade. :scared:

The walking spiders level has been soooo fun!!!! I was looking forward to fighting those since I bought the game but I had no idea when I would have been able to finally see them since I try to avoid spoilers.

Im just happy to be out of Ravenholm. That level was terrifying!! I hate those zombies with the black infected head crabs and the super fast ones. The sound they make just gives me goose bumps! :scared:

Just wondering if any one else plays this and enjoys it as much as I do. :icon_razz

No thats the problem I hardly ever play this game. Its been over a month since I last touched it. Great game just too busy with everything else to play it. :) I usually play it mabey once or twice a month if im lucky.
I cant remember my total hours into this game but I think its around 11 hours. I will have to check the next time I play to make sure.

I have played CS for 5 years now. However, in the last 2-3 years the amount I have played has declined sharply. No more leagues...and in the last 6 months with my car heating up its down to maybe a couple hours a month.

With HL2 came CS-Source. I did not and do not care for source other than the better graphics. So I went old school and started playing Day of Defeat again!

HL is one of the greatest games ever imo simply because of all of the mods that have been built from it. Including Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Natural Selection, The Specialist, and many more fun mods.

LOVED the sand buggy driving.. the physics were GREAT.. loved blasting the ant lions too.. :)

It was the first game I got when I built my current "death star" computer.. AMD 64 chip.. 1GB dual channel mem.. SATA HD.. Nvidia 6800 GT vid card with 256mb or mem.. It plays HL2 on max settings at like 50ish fps :D

I play, or played, I hadn't had much time lately though. Game is great although some of the stuff made me a little sick, I'm in and out of gaming so I'm prolly just not used to it. DM is the best if you ask me. Although I'm still stuck in quake 1 days as far as DM goes. I used to play that all night. :throw:

Hey fellas. Not sure if yall heard of a game that is coming out this month called Battlefield 2. I just played the demo of it for the first time last night and it's pretty cool. Buddy of mine brought it over for me to check out. The graphics were pretty good, and gameplay was great. Your able to drive/fly vehicles anywhere from hummers to apaches. You can choose what type of solider your char is too. Your able to be a special forces, medic, anti tank, assault, sniper etc. It's not as pretty as Half life 2. But it's def. worth checking out if you like FPSs.

Yea, I kicked the spiders asses.. that was fun though with the optically guided missle launcher :D

Im in the citadel tword the end.. i am more stuck on where to go and what do. I will check out that site for some hints..

It is just such a GOOD game..

Oh, and I have heard great things about battlefield 2 as well..

Heh, that video is pretty cool.
Any bets on how long it took to set up? I wonder how many times they had an 'oops' and had to do over... at least you can go back to a saved game - unlike if you set that up in real life!

I just beat the game. 19 hours and 31 minutes total. :) I still say this is the best FPS I have ever played. The last level is absolutely sick and a lot easier than I expected! :)

Yeah, that last level was pretty good eye candy. I was kinda dissapointed in HL1 when it ended on that other planet - didn't really fit in with the rest of the game I thought. I've been slogging through DOOM3 trying to finish it and it makes me want to go back and play HL2 again...
