the unifying theme in all 3 is getting the stance right. the silver mustang
Cloney posted uses airbags, but these other 3 do not. the 69/70s are pretty
muscular looking right from the factory, so nailing the stance should be job 1.
fortunately, they'll accept a *lot* of tire without modification.

tkanks ALOT guys i cant believe i forgot about the "bear" car. its the one that put this little blue oval emblem in the back of my head about 10 years ago when i saw it outside a local burger joint. but as always that shining ,gleaming and briliant bow-tie has consumed my brain. hmm maybe im growing up and realizing "go with what ya like, not what ya know" anyways thanks again

do you know the specs on your favorite 69' i am looking for the suspension specs and wheel and tire combo. i also heard that 67-73 share the same wheel clearances. well what i am trying to say is how can i make those will those rims fit on a stock 67' 289 fastback??? are the rims 17's ?

Motivation? If you already own a 69 Mustang, you already have what I feel is an elite car by itself. Just go with it!

On a serious note. I wish there were more pictures of 68-69 pro-touring GTO's. They are just not out there. Having added pictures, forums, they help with ideas, color selection, etc. I always learn from others.

GTO's, Mustangs, 73 Trans Am, Chevelles, Challengers, are some of my favorite cars.

I think they're available in several different backspacings, but check Newstalgia for more info.

When that pic was taken of the silver car it did not have air ride on it at that time. The wheel vintiques are 18in 18x10.5 in the rear I think the front were 18x9. If you would like some more info on that car the guy who used to own it is a close friend and I am in the process of building a 70 Mach as well.

hey man,i am also 1bad70mustang+camaro on here also,for some reason i cant login to that name anymore but oh well.i might let the lsx into my 70 mustang go but i am still going through with project.i like the BLACKENED 69 mustang that year one done.there are few pics out there but it looks great in person.i love the fastback mustangs.they are an image in their own and one of the greatest things ford done.some of my other favorites are 70-73 firebirds and camaros,70-76 mopars.good luck and i love your car.i will try to get pics of mine.it is a factory 70 mach1 ,351 cleveland 4 speed shaker hood car with 99% rust free body.although i have none of the cleveland and shaker hood stuff i have a solid foundation.i also love the 69-70 coupes.

That's my oldest boy and he is the ring-leader of the other two. He's only 7 but if he doesn't spend at least one night in jail before he's done I really will be surprised.

Anyway, this thread was about a 69 guy that needs some more motivation:
I just got my interior installed and I'm back on the bandwagon. I went slightly restomod-
moto-lita wheel, Scat seats, ditched the console, and had 3-pt belts installed.
I like the cue-ball 5 spd sticking out of the black carpet.
Get back to work on your car!
