After an 8 month intensive search I finally found a car..
Initially I was committed to buying a 69 PT Camaro.
I just wasn't able to find the "right" one.
I expanded my search to also include 65/66 PT Mustang fastbacks..
Through a lead from Steven Rupp I contacted Datsbad
(Jason Huber)in regards to his 69 RS/SS LS1 powered Camaro..Fantastic car but again not exactly what I was looking for.
However Jason and his partner John Brooks
(G force Design Concepts) were building a 66 PT fastback.
"Project Quicksilver"
They were in the process of putting the finishing touches on the car so that they could take the car to the All Ford Nationals @ Carlisle.
After several phone calls and many e-mails I made arrangements to meet them and check out the car at the show..
The car had the look and stance that I was looking for.
This car started out as a no rust, accident free shell..Very Clean!
I did not see anything like it at the show( Over 3,000 cars!)
I signed on the dotted line and then sadly I had to leave without the car. For like most of us on this board I can never leave well enough alone.. I am having G Force make a few more enhancements.

You can check out the car here: www.gforcedesignconcepts

Congradulations Scott,
I read somewhere that you had bought it. It is a beautiful car and now with the changes you have them do, it will have your touches too. Drive it like you stole it when you finally got it home...

Sharp - Thats the same color scheme that I have been considering for my 67. I think its similar to/same as Ford used on some of their show cars, GT, Shelby Cobra, and 05 Mustang.

Do you know where they got the hood in standard length? I have an Eleanor kit for my 67 now, but am considering selling it - but I do like the hood :)

Jeff,
Thanks for the compliment.
I am not sure where they found the hood.
You can call John Brooks @ G Force Design Concepts and I am sure he would be happy to help you. 717-360-1755

Steve,
Thanks again for your help!
The scope of my search was pretty narrow. Hence the long wait.
It worked out great due to the fact that I was able to provide input
regarding the finished product.

July 8th or there about.. ask Jason since he is going..

Looking for cars to shoot and yours gets a bonus for not being a 69 Camaro.. lol.. or a chevy for that matter.. need to keep the variety good. PHR will be there in force.

Let me know :)

Steve,
I will start looking into the details of the show..
Sounds like a great time.
It would be nice to finally meet some of the guys from the board.
Obviously having my car in your magazine would be awesome.
Maybe Jason can deliver my car @ the show!
