Went to the NASA event this weekend at Buttonwillow. There were a lot of cars and some good racing. Took some pics of Dave's (orngcrush69) Chevelle at the track.

We put a set of stiffer front springs, QA1 shocks, and realigned the car. Dave said the car handled better, so we must be headed the right direction.

Here are some pics:

I missed it. I was literally ready to put the car on the trailer, checked NASA's website and found out that they group 1 and 2 HPDE's were sold out for Saturday. I didn't register in advance because I wasn't sure I'd be ready. It is always something. Anyway, glad you guys got to run and had a good time.

How much track time did you get overall?

By the way, there is a Buttonwillow sponsored driving school this coming Sunday at the track, same deal as is going down for Vince' party in July. Seems pretty reasonable, less than $200 I think.

Missed ya out there Mean69. I had a blast. The NASA event was a little different than SpeedVentures though, I was impressed with the amount of cars and how smoothly getting cars on and off the track was, they ran hpde 1&2 together with 2 leaving the line first. I got 4 runs of 20 min. long, which was good enough for me.

Car looks great out there Dave! How long does it take for you to get there from your home? My brother lives in Lompoc, trying to see how long it would take me to get there-Mapquest gives kind of a goofy route.

I'll be out there with you.....someday....

Hey Q, from Paso it's 1hr20min to the track, 1hr35min if I trailer the car. Lompoc is probably 45min. from Paso.
