Does anyone know of an aftermarket EFI system with OBD2 technology built in?

There are a lot of neat OBD2 devices out there such as cell phone apps that I would like to take advantage of.

Thanks,

Ryan

I've been calling several engine builders since I have a ls7 that I want taken apart and re done. All of them so far say to stick with the LS7 computer and harness over the fast system since I'm running NA. I'm going to run a racepak in my car and it plugs right into the ob2 connector for engine data.

there are ways to use a stock computer for injection and still be able to tweak almost anything in the system, as well as shutting off things you don't have or need in the case of a swap for an older car. The chevy ls computers have a friend in a program called HP TUNERS, for $600 to $700 and a laptop you can access your computer system and change almost any parameter including shift points, fuel maps, ignition timing etc. I was turned on to this by a friend at Performance Prep in Federal Way, WA. Best of all, it retains the obd2 system! look them up online but BEWARNED, YOU CAN CHANGE SO MUCH STUFF YOU CAN LITERALLY DESTROY YOUR ENGINE/TRANS IF YOU AREN'T CAREFULL!!!

You can also use Tuner Cat or EFI Live with the moates.net RoadRunner to take advantage of real time tuning abilities. http://www.moates.net/roadrunner-ls1-realtime-emulation-pcm-p-105.html?cPath=95

I use a lot of other moates.net products, mostly for the OBD1 GM ECMs/PCMs.

Thanks for all the input. I am starting with a Gen IV big block so a LS computer isn't an option that I know of.

The LS PCM has been used to run many non LS V8s. ;)

I have seen several threads on thirdgen.org, discussing the swap onto older SBC, the same principles would apply to adapting it to a BBC.

FWIW, I'm running an older GM ECM on my Nissan engine. As long as the ECM/PCM sees the proper signals and the tune is good, any ECM will run any engine (within reason).

http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonnection/default.aspx has the parts to adapt the LS ECU to the big block.

Not sure if this helps.
