Picked this up a couple of days ago in a town called Prather. It was way back in the hills and a hell of a drive. It had been sitting for 20 years in the sellers garage and he had to pull it outside to make room for his new business. He couldn't stand to see lt get weathered so he decided to sell it. I felt kind of bad buying it because he was heart broken to let her go. I told him I would keep in touch and let him know when I was ready to sell it. Anyhow, just going to make a nice daily driver out of her.

Wow! Most people don't get to have one Camaro let alone two. Lucky guy! Good luck with the project.

Nice start,
I just realize, many many PT cars projects i have seen around where drag cars before, kind of odd, from straight line to corner carving, nice to see, but odd!

SCHWEET Gaetano, what a cool find! You've already got a lot of upgrades going on with it, but my favorite mod is definitely toyota floormat feature.

What's going on under the hood?

I've got a pair of original 69 Camaro seats if you're looking for some original buckets. I'd hate to part with them but trackday needs the $

Thanks guy's, she really is super clean, no scratches in dash, cherry dash pad, cherry glove box inside and out with great working lock mechanism, even cherry ash tray and lighter. I dont have the heart to molest this one due to how clean it is so i'm going to make her a really nice super comfortable daily driver. It currently has a built up turbo 400 but I'm not interested in having any sort of shift kit or anything like that.

I think a simple 400 hp LS motor with a 4 speed automatic and maybe just some upper control arms and a rack-n-pinion. Then maybe a little Vintage Air treatment and a decent stereo system.

Sounds like it'd be a perfect candidate for an SC&C front end kit to fix the geometry without a custom subframe or anything. Any plans for a quick-ratio steering box? What wheels?

Very nice car, can't wait to see it done.

I have access to a set of Global West control arms that I sold to a buddy of mine and he's not using them so I will most likely buy them back. I have also had a great experience with the Flaming River rack-n-pinion set up that I have used on my road racer for close to 10 years now so I will probably go that route. Not sure whos power steering pump I am going to use yet. The one in my other '69 is a KRC aluminum with seperate resevoir but I dont think I am going that extravagent on this one. With the price of wheels these days I'm pretty sure I am going to be scouting the forums for a deal of the week but definitely going with 17 or 18".

Sweet foundation to start with there. Nice find.

I just put a PSC PS pump in mine and it did great at RTTC and is about $170. Good bargain I thought.

Thanks Dave. I will look into PSC. Its been awhile since I've looked into all of these other components. I know there are alot out there and I'm going to have to do some smart shopping. I do have to say though, Vince at dreamspeedmotors is pretty smart about picking a quality component at a good price so I'll be bugging him for some info. looking forward to putting a non-racer together with all the creature comforts. I'll have to check, but if I remember correctly I think DSE came out with a cool intermittent wiper set up.

Sweet project, man. Is the rollcage going to stay? I likey, but not sure if I'd like to clamber over it daily. Aren't the mudflaps really rubberflaps, to keep the melting rubber from sticking to the quarter panels?

Glad somebody knows what the flaps are for!! The melting rubber gets so hot that it actually will take the paint off so i'm glad this guy used them. The cage will most likely stay but I might cut the door bars out because they conflict with the original arm rest. I may look into the deluxe panels to see if they will work before I decide to cut them out.

Spent a few hours out in the garage today. Pulled the headers, exhaust, Tranny and MSD setup. The rear ladder bar setup and 9" rear seem like a good foundation for a 3 or 4 link setup. If any of you guys have any ideas let me know.

Looks like a mouse tried to make a home at the end of the header. You can see his little skeleton head poking out the end of the header.

You should buy Rogue's CCW's for this car. They would look awesome with the color scheme.

I dont know much about the 3 or 4 link setups. What I'd like to do is use whats in the car and add to it. Can I leave the ladderbars and add an upper link and coil overs?
