Just thought i'd introduce myself...I'm Rudy from Tx/La area and just recently purchased a 72 cutlass w/350 rocket and plan on doing some basic PT mods so far I've added 18/20 boss 338's w/245-40 front and 255-35 rear tires. Future plans are: lowering springs, disc swap, headers and of course paint. So far previous owner already added holley carb, edelbrock performer intake, hurst pro-matic floor shifter, digital a-pillar gauges, tach, steering wheel, flowmasters. It's in pretty decent shape and runs good just have some rust issues. I hope to keep yall up to date on progress and get some tips from everyone.

I had a 72 Cutlass S Holiday Coupe back in the day... built 350 Rocket/TH350, 4.11 locker, Centerlines, no sway bars, 4-wheel drums, rusty/holey floors and trunk - and combined with 3" Flowmasters dumping at the axle equalled CO poisoning after about 30 minutes of driving...

You have a great project going! Keep at it - I sure wish I still had mine!!!

Thanks for the welcome..and yeah I'll be doing most of the work myself here and there so it's not going to be a show car but just something to ride around in as much as possible. So far I'm really suprised how much better it feels with these wheels compared to the tiny 205-?-15's all around..I can feel the shift kit now!! Here's a clip of my car in it's current stage.

Welcome aboard. I just bought my 72 Cutlass S a couple of months ago. I looked at several and most had the green interior like yours. Keep us posted on your progress. I'm especially interested!

Maybe I should post an intro as well. ;)

Thanks and yeah it's a project that's been on the back burner for a while since I really don't have a place to work on it and I will not pay a ton of money for someone else to do it for me...I'm try to learn from this and learning a lot from my own jobs as an electrician and fabricator for the natural gas companies. But I did wreck my"00" Z-71 and will be rebuilding the front end and driver's side step side bed. Although I do drive it as much as I can on the weekends but it sure does give me a headache with all the exhaust fumes but it's worth it ;) I will learn body work the hard way since I do have a lil bit of talent of drawing and see where it takes me....hopefully I'll be able to give up my day job sometime down the road to enjoy what I love..WORKING ON COOL CARS lol.

Here's some updates on my Cutlass...swapped out the rear wheels from an 8.5 to a 10 in. wide wheel with some beefy 295-35-20 it really made the car look sooooo gooooood.

I've always loved the body style of the cutlass. My buddy has one, his only complaint is that he gets the "hey man, nice chevelle" every where he goes. I'll attached an old picture of his car.

Wow talk about some motivation to get this car done!!! That Cutlass is freaking beautiful. Yeah I also get that too from certain people who don't know. I usually just say chevelle to people who I can tell have no clue about cars and I respect people who can tell the difference from a mile away. I use to be a big chevelle fan ended up finding this car for a good deal and now it's grown on to me how much more smoother the lines are and more refined body style while the chevelle just screams brute force n power lol. Thanks for everybody's comments its very appreciated since I'm doing everything myself on a budget..it won't be a PT car for a while till I can get more funds at least to upgrade the suspension. Hoping it turns out half as good as that silver cutlass...and killer GN always had a sweet spot for them regals/t-types.

LOL..Rudy, I swore I said the same thing...we need the motivation!!...it must not have posted before! I agree with everything rudy mentioned, but also have to give some love to the long roof in the background on the wrong side of the street..lol. 94 lt1? Buick roadie wagon!

I also got a chevelle comment once when turning a corner..lol

yeah, to each his own... I love that Cutlass, it was what we picked up girls in high school with. Keep in mind, that picture is atleast 10 years old. Here is what that GN looks like now...probably too much rake for you though...

I'll have to ask him to be sure but if I remember correctly the rears are 18x10 with 305 Nitto's and the fronts are 17x8 or 8.5 with 255's. The wheels were made by Boyd coddington.
