New guy here, building 1968 cougar. When I got it it was pretty ugly(first 2 pics) not much better now. Currently headed towards drag style but I am going for a handling car on an extreme budget. Will be going to Silver state classic in 2 years hopefully, depending on funds. 451984519945200

Welcome! What motor / trans setup are you running in it or plan to run?

Undecided on that at he moment. It has a 302 c4 in it now, but I have a 460 with flowed heads and bored .60 over sitting around so I would like the extra power of the big block, which is close to 600, but I don't want the extra weight to affect handling. Either way I go with the engine it will eventually get a modern manual trans of some sort. The main goals for now are to get a rear suspension under it (the axle is basically welded under the car for transport) and do a Shelby drop and lowering race springs and shocks up front to get the car back on the road. This is going to be one of those projects over the next few years as I can afford the modifications.
