I guess I first have to confess that I'm pretty much a Pro-Touring "wanna be." I had a complete Global West suspension put in about 4 years ago (upper and lower control arms, springs, QA shocks, rear leafs, etc), Unisteer rack & pinion, and 17" wheels. Last year I had a 5 speed TREMEC put in. This year I'm thinking of upgrading the stock front discs ((and eventually the rear drum setup) to a Wilwood setup. The questions I have are as follows:

WHICH Wilwood "kit" should I get (for the front) - and WHY? 4 piston or 6? What size rotors?

Do I need a proportioning valve? Will I need one when in the future - when I do the rears?

Should I go the the Wilwood master as well?

What is a hydroboost?

Sorry if any of these questions are stupid. Thanx to EVERYONE for their help and guidance getting me to where I'm at!! Driving my Camaro is a blast!! For those of you that can remember . . ., I was the guy behind the counter at Burger King in the mid 70s on Friday nite when everyone rolled in. I WAS envious for 30 years. Now I just just look in my garage and MY 68 sits up on the lift waiting for Spring (an 03 Porsche 911 C4S is underneath). YES, LIFE IS GOOD!!! Thanx again.

Cool start. I am running the 13" / 6 piston Superlites in front and 12" / 4 piston Dynalites in rear of my 68. Also running the Wilwood parking brake lines. It's a pretty popular setup and works well.

There are countless threads on brake combos - do a search and you should get a days worth of reading material. Good luck.
