The comp cams tech guy is suggesting that I switch from a 340in\lb dual spring with damper to a single beehive spring which summit lists as a 130 in/lb spring.

This is on a full hyd roller setup on a bbc using factory style bbc gen 6 lifters and retainers. Cam is an xe-294-hr comp cam.

Does this sound right. Comps website seems to be broken at the moment so I can't read up on the beehive springs and how they compare.

i have used the on a lot lt-1 and ls-1 engines, they work great and because theres less spring the engine will revs quicker.i like them for those appilcations never tried on anything else yet.
