This is a perfect core to send out to exchange for the one you are currently building, or just send it out to be rebuilt while driving what you currently have.
I have a good trans core out of a LS1 Camaro Firebird for sale. I bought it for mock up on a project I was doing and have since bought a rebuilt trans that did not require a core in exchange. I bought this core from Yank torque converters with the understanding that it slipped going into OD. Therefore, it needed a rebuild. I paid $300 for it with the bellhousing and tailshaft.
I had to use the bellhousing and tailshaft on the rebuilt trans I bought. When you buy a rebuilt core, you use your stock bellhousing and tailshaft on the new one (shipping and boxing is easier and cheaper). You can find both bellhousings and tailshafts on E-bay for around $100 total if you're worried about it. They are common parts for sale.
$100 plus shipping, although I would really like to see this go to a local pickup guy.
For this kind of money, its worth it in parts!
