For all you die-hard/dyed-in-th-wool Pontiac fans.....do any of you remember a guy named Milt Schornack? He was associated with the Royal Bobcat GTO's.
I get this link sent to me today from my co-worker and he tells me, "Hey, my Dad is selling his car"

My co-worker is Jim Schornack....his son.
I've been working with the guy for 10 years, in fact he's sat only 10 feet from me in our department and I had no clue. LOL!!!
Anyway, just wondering how well known his Dad is amongst the Pontiac people.

Milt is well known by traditional Poncho guys. I've never met him but his name gets tossed around a bit. He's more than associated with Royal Bobcat. He kind of "is" the man behind Royal Bobcat. I'll check over on PY, as I'd guess this car being for sale is creating some buzz in that crowd.

Small world, huh? He is famous with Pontiac folks for the Royal Bobcat packages back in the day. I can't say that it ads any special significance to the sale of this car. I wish him the best with it.

There are some posts over on PY about this, and they are not kind. There is a certain amount of criticism about this car in particular. Apparently, the information on eBay about the car is not legit. The quality of the body is supposed to be very good, but it's not an original bobcat car, it apparently was nowhere near being rust free, it does not have PHS documentation, and there are some folks who participated in the building of the car that feel as though they got taken for a ride. If anyone is actually interested in it, I'd suggest going over to PY to learn the details.

Unkind, critical posts on PY? What?
LOL!!! Regardless of the facts, someone over there will ALWAYS be a hater. It got really old, really fast for me.

I COMPLETELY agree with that. It's why I'm active here and not there any more. The fact that I didn't use numbers matching tags to build a "stock" pontiac but instead wanted something that was more fun to drive didn't help. I went to Pontiac Nationals this year with it, and lots of people loved it. Others hated it because it was a "low rider" (meaning it didn't look like a 4x4).

lol...I get very few comments by PY guys on my PT build of my 71 Firebird, maybe because I'm not concerned about the correct paint finish on the park brake mechanism (actually, mine is painted correctly, but thats just me...lol). I think there are a lot of people over there arguing about date codes and such. I'd rather improve what Pontiac gave me 40 years ago, than stick with something that was designed largely with production economies as the driving force.

Performance Years. That is one of the big forums that the Pontiac guys frequent.
