Yes! I said 45 miles, not 4500 or 45000....just 45! You can eat off this thing. Its brand new. I am unfamiliar with these as you all know I have only offered the LS packages. But I do have this rare opportunity to pick this up.

I have been trying to do some research on it and get myself educated a little. I have heard some guys saying its " The LS killer" Yeah right! Anyway, all jokes aside, these motors are pretty bad!! 412 HP/390 TQ and a 6-Speed auto trans. They are ALL aluminum design. 32 valve dual over head cams. Factory installed stainless headers... My understanding is that this motor was built specifically for the Mustang GT, its the only thing getting it. Looks like Ford stepped up their game, got tired of the LS stealing all the glory:)

When you compare power to litre output.... WOW! well just check for yourself. Here are some links and specs I found. They are all good reads.

Ok, so just 45 miles and everything is there, including the 6-speed trans all harness and accesories, MAF, pedal, Headers, I mean everything..... ready to drop in for anyone doing a swap. What is this worth? Is 7500. a fair price?

These things are bad ass. There are a few shops here playing with the 11' stangs and already down in the low 11's with them

The crate motor IIRC is selling for $6500 so your price sounds fair.

sounds fair to me man - I agree with Skip above on the going crate price of 6500 - 6999, so you're throwing in the tranny, wiring, ecu, etc. That's several thousand dollars more of stuff.

WOW! I would love to have it but I'm in the final stages of my 5.4 swap. Nice price man.

I like what Hollywood Hot Rods did with the new 5.0 DOHC Ford sent them for their Raybestos Brakes project.

You're welcome.

Getting back to your original post, you asked if $7500 is fair?

I said $6500 would be fair, but have you checked on ebay to see what they might be selling for? Depends also of course how much profit you want on the resale. How much would it cost a swapper to duplicate?

This member put one on a '66 Mustang FB Shelby Hertz clone. You could ask him parts cost.

Ok... So I did some research and found this in Jegs...

Crate Motor..... 6500.00
Harness/ECM... 1600.00
Alternator Kit... 230.00
Engine Cover... 132.00

Total.............. 8462.00

I will have much more than this to offer! Add in for the 6-speed auto. trans & ECM, The AC setup, PS setup, Starter, MAF, Belts, Hoses, Radiator & electric fans, 02 sensors, Pedal

All of this would add at least 3500. or maybe more?? Im not sure what the 6-speed auto trans runs for a crate piece?? Maybe 3k on its own..

Anyway, if you add a conservative 3500. To the above 8462. Thats $11,962.00

Plus Im sure Im forgetting some things, so now that I look at it I agree with BA.......I think 7500. would be a smokin deal!

Does anyone see anything wrong with my math here? or disagree? My biggest concern is not to pay to much for it.

After looking at all the bits you'd get, IMO a bunch of folks I believe will want one with a 6 speed auto. So yes to the $7500.
