I know it won't make it any faster, but I am looking forward to having power windows, locks and mirrors. I wanted the mirrors and windows mostly but decided to do the locks as well since everything is apart.
The mirrors are from late 90's full size GM cars. The mirror switch is from a Ford Focus. I found a thread where someone had used this setup complete with the wiring diagram. I mounted the switch in the ash tray. The pics below show the passenger side with the new mirror and the driver's side with the stock mirror.

One of the forum members on NastyZ28 let me know he had some medallions to cover the window crank holes. I installed those and the window switches on the door panels. I am using the power window kit from Nu-Relics.

I have the power door lock mechanisms installed as well. I discovered that there were factory holes for the wire boots already cut into both the door and the jamb. I have a couple factory boots on the way. Not much more I can do until they get here so I can do the wiring.
