Continuing my search to find my low oil pressure only under load problem, I pulled the main caps off of the motor tonight. Tell me what you think. I know they dont look good, but would this cause a low oil pressure? Would you pull the motor after seeing this? I only pulled 2 so far. This was the worst one.

I am home for the weekend from school, and I have a friend here that could help me pull the motor tonight if I need to. Im cutting it close for RTTS and I want the car to be in tip-top shape :fingersx:

Those don't look good, are the rods just as bad? They're probably worse. It's not good when they get pitted like that. Do you happen to have any Plastigauge to check the clearance with? That would tell you if your losing oil pressure is caused by this. Either way though, those aren't in tip top shape and if that's what you want probably need to go through it.

To answer your questions, yes and yes. Those are trashed.
