I have a stock 2001 LS1 out of a camaro. Currently my LS1 is stock and only will have Dynatech long tube headers. I am thinking about adding a little larger cam and a LS6 intake.

Locally I just bought a 2006 T56 out of a GTO and it came with LS2 accessories and lots of misc extras including a 95mm Typhoon aluminum intake (bare).

This engine is for my 67 that is intended for daily driving first, autox a distant second. (more than a year away from driving it)

This alum intake requires a larger 4 bolt throttle body (vs my stock 3 bolt). I know the LS6 intake is worth 15-20 hp (guessing), would this intake be a good alternative to the LS6? Cost of a throttle body? Anything else needed? Not too worried about heat soak with alum.

My goals are a modest 400-450 flywheel hp.

EDIT: I found the info on LS1tech.com. I'll look into the throttle body cost to upgrade.

Stupid question, are there any cable 4 bolt TBs. I think I've only seen DBW.

I bought mine without the fuel injection/intake manifold/steam lines. A while back I picked up a complete Ls1 intake/throttle body assembly to go with it for next to nothing.

Gary: To stay with the cable and be able to use the 96mm intake, an aftermarket throttle body seems to be required.
