This is on my 1967 GTO. Trunk is on minus weatherstripping and little bumpers. The drivers side dead even with top of quarter. Passenger side lid is about 5/16 lower? Is this normal when weatherstripping and bumpers arent installed? Dont remember if it was off before been off for years.

you'll need to install the weather striping to make sure.
If that doesn't get you where you need you can install a few shims between the trunk lid and hinge to bump it up.
Good luck.

you might have to bend the trunk back into shape, I am not thinking the weatherstripping will put that much pressure on it.

On my 66, without bumpers or weatherstripping the trunk lid was perfectly even on both sides.

Align the the edges of the trunk lid to the qtr panel and other areas then make sure the weather strip fits and adjust the channel and then go back and make sure the trunk lid is still lined up. Don't glue the weather strip in on the trial test and you should be able to reuse it and glue it where needed when you do the final install.

It should line up perfect before paint and you can do it with a good dollie and a hammer.

Took a 3lb hammer a 2x4 and negotiation skills but happy with results.
