I'm wondering what is the measurement differences between the two pans. I don't like the remote filter on the Milodon pan. The Edelbrock mounts and headers were designed with Milodon pan and am thinking of using Edelbrock's parts on my build.

Hate to break it to you, BUT Edelbrock has Discontinued there LS Headers and brackets so you may want to re-consider Or get whats left on the shelf.

someone else said the same thing, but another posted that it was only the full kit, not the headers.

Edelbrock is dumping there entire exhaust line. It's not even in there new catalog. The Shocks are gone too.. Disco'd. Said they were re-evaluating some of there lines and getting rid of the ones that may not be cost-effective .

Man that sucks- I love my Edelbrock headers. They fit great and are built really well. I used their mounts, headers, and an Autokraft pan with super easy bolt in results.

i love the fit and finish of my edelbrocks as well, but planned on recoating them anyways. ive never understood why anyone uses 409 instead of 304 (magnaflow included). yes it costs more, but 409 will rust. i would have paid the extra for the 304 materials.

Mast Motorsports is now making a pan also. I am waiting on mine to arrive any day! I believe list price is about $420 or so. Here are a couple links to look at.

Holley is making an LS-retrofit oil pan too, although I don't know if it's been released yet:

I have ordered some of the mount through work and have taken some measurements. I want to keep my trans in the original location so that narrows down to hookers, transdapt and edelbrock mounts. I'm using a trans crossmember from ricks camaro and have no more room to move forward, unless i want to modify the crossmember. I measured from the bell housing on a first gen small block to the single motor mount hole on the side of the block. It is 16 inches to the center of the hole. Next I mounted the transdapt 1 inch setback mounts and took the same measurement and it was 15 3/4 inches to the center hole. I also had hooker 1 1/4 setback mounts and when bolted to the block they were 16 inches to center of the hole. The edelbrocks aren't in yet but if what you said is true maybe I should skip them. Also, the hookers were 3/8 thick and fit the block without any mods. The transdapt are 5/16 thick and the side that goes towards the block would need modified to fit the block.
I talked to Holley last Friday and they said the pan wont be out till end of April.
