4l80e help!

I am mating up my 4l80e up to my BBC in hopes to drop them in the camaro today but the converter is hitting the flywheel/flex plate! We are pretty confident the converter is in completely...what am I missing? Do I need a special flywheel? If so where do I get one fast for a BBC? Please help!!!

double check the converter make sure it has engaged the pump correctly and slid in, if not it would stick out an extra quarter inch or so.

Right there with Greg. Double, triple check or whatever to make sure the converter has engaged the pump cause it has to fit. I've run that combination (BBC/4L80e) myself and there was no problem but, as far as I remember, there's just one way to get the converter in correctly.

You are BOTH correct! We didn't have the converter in all the way!! DANG the 4l80e!! Those converters are a pain in the tail!! Thanks for the help guys!!
