Looking at my options for a blow through and Victor Jr for my SBC. Problem is, All the Victor JRs are for a 1205 gasket and my heads (Ported SportsmanIIs) have a 1206 intake port.

I know this isnt much of a difference but will it be worth it to spend the time to portmatch the intake to a 1206 or will it only be minimal gains?

I do understand that in an NA setup, the gains would be much more noticeable but is it as necessary for boost?

Thanks

Also, What part # would be the best bet? It seems there are a few different part numbers for a 23* SBC intake. It has to be one of the shorties (4.58" Pad Height) due to hood clearance.

I have this same boosted port question. My new intake uses a 1205 gasket and my heads are 1206

For certain I have to build some weld on the outside of the intake to cover the gasket. I worry that if I have to machine the inside of the port in might break out and would need to put a LOT of weld on the outside of the part.
